- I'm using an A2000 with a standard A2091 SCSI controller card. A little
- while back I attempted to fit a second hard-drive to the system. Although
- I've managed to get it to work the transfer rates seem far too low. The
- Quantum drive that is fitted to the actual controlled card gives rates of
- around 800k/sec while the Conner drive that I fitted later only transfers
- at around 370k/sec. I know the drive shouldn't be this slow since I
- bought it second hand off of someone who got much higher transfer rates
- with it. Is there something simple that I've overlooked while fitting
- this drive which is giving really slow rates.
-
- Secondly, I've got a spare 3.5 inch disk mechanism kicking around and I
- wanted to install that as df1:. I've tried daisy chaining it internally
- but it doesn't work. Is there anything else I need to do. I know the
- drive works since if I use it as my only drive there are no problems.
-
- Any help on these two problems would be really appreciated. Thanks
